BIO Page ImageGypsy Mobile’s newest release entitled “All Over Town,” is an ode to their rocksteady roots and continues to build on the band’s signature style. If straight up Rock ‘n’ Roll with flavourings of the Blues is what you’re needing to get you through the day then this new album is right up your alley. Drew Bilboe, guitarist and singer for Gypsy Mobile, said the three-piece rock band’s new album was recorded over a 3 month period at Golden Waves Recording studio in Edmonton.

All the songs on “All Over Town” are originals, said Drew. “Scot and Kevano did a really good job of capturing our live sound, and having the tracks mastered by Howie Weinberg really added that final touch to the songs and overall sound to the album.” Regina’s Wade Buettner plays bass and Battleford’s Kurtis Kopp beats the drums. Drew said they will be promoting their new album this summer/2015, playing at a local festival and clubs across Western Canada, including dates in Banff and Golden to name a few.

The new album release has awarded the band significant airplay including CBC Saskatchewan, CFCR in Saskatoon, The Rock 93.3 in North Battleford, CJTR in Regina and Jango Radio.

Having influences and inspirations drawn from blues, hard-rock and pop artists rather than one specific genre helps account for the bracing freshness of Gypsy Mobile’s style. Fitting their sound into a neat box is an exercise in futility, though, if pressed, the guys can settle for “rock music with a bluesy twist.”

Their unique approach to jamming has earned them invitations to numerous festivals and clubs. Ever the road warriors, over the years the guys have played countless shows together and with other projects, bringing a wealth of musical experience to the table. They have had the opportunity to share the stage with many talented musicians including, Wide Mouth Mason, Fingereleven, Gordie Johnson, Jordan Cook, Amos Garrett and Jerry Doucette to name a few.

Gypsy Mobile also has an extensive repertoire of cover songs, from rock, to pop, to blues…that keep audiences movin’ and groovin’ all night! (See MUSIC to view set lists).  Currently, the guys are working on writing a new album and plan to go into the studio to record this fall/2017!
